Our family business was founded in 1968 in Pontotoc, Mississippi by Dan Prater. In 1981, the business relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, where Dan was joined by his son, Artie Prater. Together, they transformed the company from focusing mainly on installations to becoming a full-service flooring company. With more than 40 years of experience in floor coverings, we have earned an outstanding reputation in the flooring industry throughout Northeast Florida. In 2005, we were pleased to welcome Glen Monett, who brought an additional 19 years of experience to Deep South Designs.
